In Mutiny, the levels consist of several enemies on different parts of the map. Both the pirates and enemies take turns moving and using weapons against each other until all of one side's units are destroyed. More weapons can be obtained from the treasure chests that fall from the top of the screen. While playing, a map in the upper left hand corner of the screen shows the locations of the player's pirates as well as the enemy units' or player 2's pirates. Player 1's pirates will always appear as red dots on the map, meanwhile player 2's or the CPU's units will display as blue. Treasure chests will appear as yellow dots as well.

  • Historically, mutiny was considered to be one of the gravest offenses that a member of the military could commit. In the past, those accused of it faced a court martial, and if convicted, faced severe punishment, up to and including capital punishment (though by the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th centuries, capital punishment had been abolished and thus was not a sentencing option for convicted mutineers). By the 24th century, acts of mutiny in Starfleet were considered nearly unimaginable and extremely rare. (TOS: "The Tholian Web" ; TNG: "The Pegasus" )
  • A mutiny is when survivors leave the safety of the Security Room or Safe House for a reason such as someone complaining about the lack of food, someone complaining that the helicopter will not come, a survivor says that the protagonist is a criminal, or if one of the survivors is giving others some trouble.
  • A mutiny is an unlawful attempt by military personnel to seize or overthrow military authority. For the purposes of this article, mutiny refers to any attempt by a starship's crewmembers to illegally take control of the vessel from its captain. In 2372, the HMS Vosteage was the theater of a mutiny shortly after they repelled a Klingon raid led by the IKS Nav'Don over the legality of their cloaking device experiment, which violated the Treaty of Oxvind. The Hydrans who escaped the supposed destruction of the ship were court-martialled. (RIS Bouteina: "Vosteage")
  • Mutiny is defined as a group of people rebelling against an authority that the group is legally obligated to obey. It is most often used to refer to members of a military organization rebelling against their superiors, and illegally seizing control of a vessel.
  • Mutiny [myoot-n-ee] - noun: Rebellion against authority. This is best known as sailors' revolt against the captain or officers of a ship. A participant of a mutiny were called a Mutineer. It was a conspiracy among a group of individuals to openly oppose, change or overthrow a lawful authority to which they were subject. The term is commonly used for a rebellion among members of a crew against their superior officer(s), but can also occasionally refer to any type of rebellion against an authority figure.
