  • Salo Gardner is credited by John Mollo as portraying, one of four 'local ugly men', in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope as documented in the 1979 book The Art of Star Wars. Like the others in his group, his distinct features lead to him appearing in the Cantina scene without any makeup (seated next to the Tonnika sisters at the bar). In the same film, Gardner portrayed a Stormtrooper as well. Gardner once again portrayed extras in Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace and Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens.
