After an apparent death at the hands of Blackout, he escaped to Pulse, and impersonated its prime minister. Very little is known about his activities during this period. He sent several of his experiments to an unknown planet, where they engaged the forces of Blackout and Zev. He promptly revealed himself to Blackout, and became a wanted man by him ever since. | - Liquid Ocelot is a Vortixx, head of the Hand of Ocelot, and creator of Zev Raregroove's current body. However, Ocelot decided to pull a fast one, and had Zev's memories erased; when Zev's amnesia wore off, this is what inspired him to rebel. He is physically described as "possessing gold and platinum armour, cruelly sharp features and wearing a platinum coat and wire-frame glasses". After an apparent death at the hands of Blackout, he escaped to Pulse, and impersonated its prime minister. Very little is known about his activities during this period. He sent several of his experiments to an unknown planet, where they engaged the forces of Blackout and Zev. He promptly revealed himself to Blackout, and became a wanted man by him ever since. He went after Zev in his guise as "Eclipse Metaltron", only to be discovered and his body destroyed when Zev ripped off his platinum arm, which was his weak spot. He survived as a cloud of energy, took over Zev's ship in order to get to Dragku as quickly as possible, possessed Zev himself, and headed to a night crystal mine, and used one of the night crystals to recreate his body, only to be severely injured by Zev and captured by Blackout. He was then proven guilty of mass murder, unauthorized genetic experiments, impersonation of Pulse prime minister, assault, and two cases of planetary destruction, and sentenced to 25,000 years in Impel Down. However, he continues to retain some kind of influence, as he managed to manipulate the Shadow Proclamation into arresting Zev. Later, Liquid Ocelot was confronted by Blackout during the Makuta leader's invasion of Impel Down, and was killed when Blackout blasted him with plasma and slashed off his platinum arm. Blackout then took the severed arm as a trophy. By trophy, we mean he tossed it into a black hole.

Das Auftretten von Liquid Ocelot weckte die Aufmerksamkeit der Patriots, wodurch EVA unbehelligt Big Boss's Körper restaurieren konnte um den Aufenthaltsort von ZERO zu erfahren. Liquid Ocelot leitete Outer Haven, eine Muttergesellschaft, die insgeheim die fünf größten PMC (private Militärfirmen) der Welt kontrollierte. Er plante eine Rebellion gegen die Patriots, indem er sich durch Sons of the Patriots alle mit Nanomaschinen ausgerüsteten Soldaten zu Eigen machen wollte. Liquid Ocelot setzte die Gentechnikerin Naomi Hunter, die er nach dem Shadow Moses Zwischenfall gewaltsam zur Kooperation gezwungen hatte, unter Hausarrest und benutzte sie, um Zugang zum Sons of the Patriots System zu erhalten, was er durch Big Boss's genetischen Code auch schaffte. So gelang es ihm, das Sons of the Patriots System zu übernehmen. Er benannte es in Guns of the Patriots um und nutzte es, um sämtliche Waffen weltweit unschädlich zu machen. Danach rüstete er das gestohlene Schlachtschiff Outer Haven (Arsenal Gear-Klasse) mit der Rail Gun von Metal Gear REX, die er davor von Shadow Moses Island geholt hatte, aus. Damit versuchte er einen Nuklearsprengkopf in die Erdumlaufbahn zu schießen, um JD (Die zentrale KI der Patriots) zu zerstören. Solid Snake und seine Freunde mussten dies verhindern. So wenig ihnen das System auch gefiel, sie hatten keine Wahl, denn wenn die Patriots vernichtet würden, würde die Welt ins Chaos stürzen. Snake und Otacon gelingt es einen Virus von Naomi in die KI GW upzuloaden der die KI zerstört. Somit ist Liquid geschlagen, seine Soldaten erleiden einen psychischen Zusammenbruch, da nun ihre Nanomaschinen ausgeschaltet sind. Die Gekkos, Skarabes und die Metal Gear RAYs schalten sich aus. Der Virus macht jedoch weiter und löscht auch die KI JD. Damit wurden die Patriots zwar vernichtet aber der Virus entzog den Patriot lediglich ihren Zugriff, womit die Welt nicht ins Chaos stürzte. Liquid Ocelot schleppt den bewusstlosen Snake dann auf den höchsten Punkt von "Outer Heaven". Snake, wieder bei Bewusstsein, fragt ihn warum Liquid sie nicht aufgehalten habe. Dieser erklärt dass er keinen Grund dazu hatte und sich dieses Ende gewünscht hätte. Nachdem er Snake zwei Spritzen mit Adrenalin verabreicht, womit dieser wieder zu Kräften kommt, fordert er diesen zu einem letzen Faustkampf heraus. Snake gewinnt diesen Kampf und beugt sich über den sterbenden Ocelot. Dieser sagt er sei nur Liquids Doppelgänger. Ocelot ließ sich nach dem Big Shell Zwischenfall Liquids rechten Arm durch eine Prothese ersetzen, wodurch Liquids Einfluss auf ihn endete. Ocelot ist während des gesamten "Guns of the Patriots" Zwischenfall er selbst, er redete sich selbst jedoch mittels verschiedener Therapien und Drogen ein, Liquid zu sein, um die Patriots hinters Licht zu führen. Bevor er jedoch stirbt spricht er zu Snake dieselben Worte wie zu Big Boss vor 50 Jahren: "You're pretty good"
