You may remember I was initially a bit hostile concerning this effort, but seeing that you've been able to verify sources for some of these is very reassuring. Apologies if I sounded like a grump in that earlier thread (probably on Canon Talk) about this. Overall of course it's an excellent pursuit: you're basically confirming sources and following our own rules, and when I put it that way, it makes me wonder why I was worried about this at all.

Acer what are your thoughts on this idea: make a new subheading of Image:Yes check.png "Confirmed names", where characters removed from the "Awaiting sources" can go with web links to the sources? It wouldn't just be a brag sheet for stuff you/we are rediscovering, but a very practical reference for anyone trying to independently verify this same content. 20:45, July 12, 2011 (UTC) Absolutely no worries mate! I think probably the "confirmed names" section would be unnecessary if we had a way of reproducing/properly linking to the currently pulled-down fox.com content in the actual articles for these characters. I'm going off the wayback machine stuff, which unfortunately seems to suffer from link rot every few months so there's no real way of linking to the original content. I think if there was some way to reproduce on an external site/get to the original content via a link, probably we could stick the links on the BGIN for the characters, therefore anyone wondering about the names would get the links on the actual page. Actually as I type I am changing my mind, probably a confirmed names section would be good for the hardcore editors. Tell you what I'll make it, and link to the wayback machine archives. But I think these links wouldn't be so good on the actual articles, because they date so fast and become obsolete, so I'll keep them here for now till we think of a way around the fact fox pulled down all their website material!--Acer4666 22:15, July 12, 2011 (UTC) Ah how I hate link rot. Maybe clear screenshots of the FOX stuff uploaded to the external photo website we've all been using could be a permanent solution, for the worst link rot offenders? 22:42, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
