Natural justice is s system derived from Roman Law that attempts to ensure that court proceedings are fair. Important points are the following: 1. * The judge and juries should be impartial and should not stand to gain or lose from the outcome of the case. 2. * A defendent should know and understand the charges against him/her, should have an opportunity to prepare and present a proper defence against charges. 3. * Judicial decisions should be based on evidence rather than speculation.
