Built in 1730, the Creighton-Ward Mansion stands on the site of a Norman castle in a 2,000-acre estate at Foxleyheath, in southern England. It was designed and erected in the Palladian style by Cole Campbell, the architect largely responsible for Stourhead Gouse in Wiltshire. Designated a Grade One listed building by the World Heritage Organization, the mansion has nonetheless been altered to incorporate various burglar-alarm systems and inter-room video and audio communications, and a forensic laboratory has been built in what were the old servants' quarters.
