- Louis Hector Berlioz (December 11, 1803 – March 8, 1869) was a French Romantic composer, best known for his compositions Symphonie Fantastique (first performed in 1830) and Grande Messe des Morts (Requiem). Berlioz made great contributions to the modern orchestra with his Treatise on Instrumentation and by utilizing huge orchestral forces for his works, sometimes calling for over 1000 performers. At the other extreme, he also composed about 50 songs for voice and piano.

È soprattutto noto per le sue gigantesche e mostruose composizioni per orchestra, e, in ambiente psichiatrico, per i suoi reiterati e frustrati tentativi di diventare Beethoven.

Son action se situe essentiellement en Allemagne, en Russie, en Italie, et dans les terres encore toutes écumantes du passage d' Ultraman et de Kamen Rider.
