Claudio Scremin (b. May 28th 1968 in Burnaby, British-Columbia, Canada) is a former professional defencemen who played 17 games in the National Hockey League for the San Jose Sharks. Selected 204th overall of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, the University of Maine alumni made the jump to pro hockey in 1990-91 with the Kansas City Blades of the International Hockey League. Over the next two seasons, while being chiefly a Blades player, he would be called up to the NHL a few times, earning his 17 career appearances, during which he picked up a single point, an assist. He would split his 1993-94 season between Kansas City and HC Varese in the italian Serie A; the next season, he was back to Kansas City for four more seasons.
