- Mixmaster is a reccuring villain in the Transformers franchise & a member of the Decepticon group known as the Constructicons. He transforms into a concrete mixer & forms the left leg of Devastator.
- Mixmaster is a genius at creating new materials out of a combination of anything available - whether it's inanimate rock or living Autobot. He performs his sometimes grisly tasks with a cackling glee and eager enthusiasm, whether building a city or melting down enemies. Sometimes his fellow Decepticons wonder if perhaps Mixmaster hasn't a few microchips loose in his logic center, but they never question the results of his efforts. When combined with his fellow he serves as the left leg module in the giant robot known as Devastator.

After the pair are brought to life by a fragment of the Allspark, Scrapper points out that his name must be "Mixmaster", after reading his truck mode's brand name. Initially the two befriend Bulkhead, but are hired by Megatron after his Decepticons tricked the two into helping them steal supplies to construct a Space Bridge by offering the Constructicons oil as payment for their service. After drinking contaminated oil provided by Bulkhead, the two exploded and lost their memories of any of the preceding events. They later return in "Sari, No One's Hom
- During the secret research and experimentation that went on the lab an incredible breakthrough was made in the genetic division; a chemical compound that allowed the genetic blending between different species to be possible which the scientists named Mixmaster. The compound was truly amazing as there was nothing in the animal kingdom or even the plant kingdom for that matter that Mixmaster couldn't mix up to produce amazing and fantastic hybrid species. The only thing Mixmaster couldn't effect was humans as even the Lab had some sense of ethics.

And he performs his often grisly tasks with an evil, cackling glee that more befits a medieval witch than a Constructicon. The manner in which he creates new materials resembles an arcane ritual. Sometimes his fellow Decepticons wonder if perhaps Mixmaster hasn't a few microchips loose in his logic center, but they never question the results of his efforts. While having the appearance of a standard concrete mixer, Mixmaster can, by using various acids and bonding agents, reduce and recombine virtually any substances put inside his drum and use them to form new substances. He is a chemistry lab on wheels. Atop the roof of his cab, he can mount a powerful infrared cannon which emits bursts of 8000° C heat for an effective range of .8 miles. In robot mode, he carries a laser pistol and a shoulder-mounted optical distortion projector, which, by bending light waves, disorients the vision of anyone caught in its field. When combined with his fellow Constructicons, he serves as the left leg module in the giant robot known as Devastator. Mixmaster's mixing drum can be rendered inoperative by the addition of certain chemicals, particularly alkalides.

The only thing Mixmaster couldn't effect was humans as even the Lab had some sense of ethics. Proudfoot quickly saw the potential in Mixmaster for military applications, especially since the war in Vietnam was going so badly, and instructed the scientists, including Cletus Poffenberger, to develop hybrid animals that could be used for combat. Creatures like Project 4-12 that could be used to hunt the Vietcong at night and route them out of the tunnels in the provinces by day. However these endeavors never bore fruit as the government closed down Proudfoot's operation when it was discovered they were selling their inventions to the enemy and the lab and everything in it was either seized or destroyed. Mixmaster, or rather a barrel of it, was left behind most likely forgotten and managed to survive the lab being buried for many years. This was however not the end for Mixmaster, which quickly made its presence known in Perfection Valley in the episode Ghost Dance where it infected a food preserving bacteria experiment that had been shelved creating an even more deadly strain. It was theorized by Cletus that this happened because the canister's container either became damaged or eventually broke causing Mixmaster to come in contact with the microbe and blend it with another bacteria that was also stored in the lab. There was also a gene bank in the lab that contained samples from many different species which would allow the chemical to create a number of exotic creations. The microbe creation eventually escaped through an air vent into a mine where it began to feed off the surrounding moisture and the moisture of any animal that came near. The microbe was eventually contained by the people of Perfection, but as Cletus explained that wasn't the end of it. This was because all living things shed dead cells and the microbe cloud was no different and the mine floor would be littered with these cells. As a result any insect that would ingest those cells would end up having Mixmaster in its DNA which would then travel up the food chain into larger animals depending on what ate what. While the natural barriers of the valley would ensure the safety of the outside world the valley itself would now find itself home to any number of hybrid animals has Cletus put it such as crickets with scorpion tails or Gilla monsters with bat wings. Cletus and Burt believe that 99% of the creatures created by Mixmaster will die off at birth, but 1% will survive and the valley faces these mutations that do survive. The compound has also been shown to infect Perfection's water table as water stolen from the valley contained the compound. Its creations carry it in their blood and if killed so they bleed, it can spread that way too. The people chasing the Giant Shrimp faced this problem as the Shrimp was out of the valley and they had to kill it without letting it bleed and spread Mixmaster through the resevior it was heading to. They later return in "Sari, No One's Home", going on an oil stealing frenzy before following a trail of oil spilled by Bumblebee to the Autobot's base. In spite of Sari defending the base on the assumption that they're working for the Decepticons again, Mixmaster ignored Scrapper's pleas to leave as he vaguely remembered the place held the best tasting oil they ever had. Once they finally forced out, the two run into Blitzwing, who offers them Decepticon oil which Mixmaster recognizes as he takes them to finish the Space Bridge. Scrapper and Mixmaster are formally inducted into the Decepticon forces in the "A Bridge Too Close" two-parter. They are branded with the Decepticon symbols, and their color schemes are changed to match those of their G1 selves. When the Decepticon base starts to cave in, Scrapper and Mix stay behind, in an attempt to save their oil supply, and end up buried under tons of rock. But the two survived and went into hiding at a auto factory, watching the red cars getting built, before they are found by Bulkhead in the season 3 episode "Three's a Crowd". Though relucant to help him at first, the two decide to moonlight to help rebuild the space bridge in Sumdac tower. However, the newly online Dirt Boss quickly established himself as their foreman. Mixmaster then paricipated in Dirt Boss's plan to control Detroit's oil, resulting him getting Scrapper's fist lodged in his chestplate before the three Constructicons ended up tranwarped in the lake near Dinobot Island on an oil tanker before it explodes.
