It was Aiddat that gave him his name. When the colony was finally rescued in 30 ABY, Aiddat took Blacky with him to the new Jedi Academy on Ossus. There the cave cat enjoyed a peaceful life for a time.
- Surt, originally Surt Balrog, is the trollish leader of the rebel group Mephi in the original Random Kingdom. He was later re-aligned to be a Fire Giant, in line with the original mythology he was adapted from. The battle of Ragnarök was re-interpreted as an uprising of the working-class jötunn against the O'Dean family, and society in general. Surt hence shows traits associated with communism - the red color of fire and communism, dual-wielding a hammer and sickle, and other such traits. He is much shorter than in many other depictions, not an outright "monster" singularly bent on combat (such as being an opponent to the party - he certainly is no pacifist), and not associated with many of the more martial traits (such as a permanent flame aura) in this setting.

Blackie was unafraid of the alleged curse attributed to King Todd's treasure and stole it from a city museum one night. After concealing it underground in the sewers in lower Manhattan, Blackie was killed and transmogrified by the curse into a giant monster in the motif of ancient Egypt. He was now anchored to the treasure for eternity as its guardian. In the mid-1980s, on a Saturday, Blackie appeared again due to what he perceived as a terrestrial invasion by construction workers up above. The Ghostbusters were unable to capture Blackie and were separated by animated construction vehicles. Despite several clues left by an invisible Spade, the Ghostbusters decided to go underground without confirmation of the entity's identity. Spade followed them and saved their lives. In a second venture, while he distracted Blackie, the Ghostbusters drove the cursed treasure back to the museum. They discovered Todd's exhibit archived down in the basement. Without warning, Peter Venkman lifted the treasure himself and returned it to Todd's sarcophagus. Blackie was reverted to his normal form, now a ghost. He thanked Spade for saving him. Together, they peacefully dispersed.

The cave cats were better-off than the other colonists, as Erishpamhwen's caves were similar to Eniam's. The omnivorous felines found good food and shelter in this habitat, living off fungi, lichens, and small animals. When the colony was finally rescued in 30 ABY, Aiddat took Blacky with him to the new Jedi Academy on Ossus. There the cave cat enjoyed a peaceful life for a time. Ten years later, the new Galactic Alliance Guard attacked the Academy. Blacky survived the onslaught, and was evacuated to a temporary base on Endor. However, two years later, Blacky died of old age.

Surt Balrog was the foreman of the RvneTek's workers in the mining city of Myspelhym ("Muspellheim" in the German original). When the corporation raised the working hours without comprehension, Surt led a rebellion against the company, which was quickly put down by SAXON, the corporation's elite guard, led by Ryu Tao. After that, despite the blame Surt took for the failure of the uprising and the subsequent destruction of the city of Myspelhym by causing the mine tunnels to collapse with possibly hundreds of victims trapped underneath several kilometers of solid rock, Surt continued resistance against the corporation, together with Fenris, Diane May and, over time, numerous others. Surtur Balrog wurde, nachdem der RvneTec-Konzern die Kontrolle über Niflheim und Muspelheim an sich gebracht hatte, von den Arbeitern als eine Art Vermittler ausgerufen, der ihre Interessen vor der RvneTec vertreten sollte. Als die Führungsspitze des Konzers die Förderquoten erhöhte, bekam Surt ein schlechtes Gewissen den Arbeitern, die ihm vertrauten, und der Erde, die die Grundsubstanz des Olog-Hai-Lebens ist, gegenüber, und gründete die Rebellengruppe DEVILS GUARD. Während der normale Betrieb nach außen hin weitergeht und er weiter den Manager spielt, wird die Rebellengruppe praktisch von allen Bewohnern NIFLHEIMS unterstützt. Surt ist ein schweigsamer Typ, der über gewaltige Körperkräfte verfügt. Im Nahkampf kann einem 3m großen Olog-Hai kaum ein Gegner das Wasser reichen.
