Rosalina's Ice World is the second track of the Special Cup in Mario Kart 7. Covered with ice pillars and buildings from Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina's first home course in Mario Kart is one of the more challenging maps in the game. Decreased tractions due to slippery ice, narrow passageways in a cave, and a couple of Penguins define this course quite nicely. The ghost data for this track belongs to Rosalina, for obvious reasons.

  • Rosalina's Ice World is a track introduced in Mario Kart 7. It is the second track in Special Cup. The track is covered in snow and ice, as one might expect. The level has a Comet Observatory theme, containing many huts resembling the individual observatories. In addition, there is a needle-like spire resembling the top of the ship in the background. Hence the name, this course is owned by Rosalina.

After that, drivers must perform a trick on the edge to land safely on cracked iceberg. Failure to do this can result that your driver will fall into the freezing water, but this water is not lethal and it has several coins with few penguins. After going on the iceberg, there is a blue cave with solid-water pillars. These pillars can be shattered when playing Grand Prix, but in Time Trial, they are unbreakable. When facing against the pillars, there is one wide road divided into two roads giving your player two decisions: preferring left is wide, safe with three coins arranged in horizontal way, while the right one is very dangerous but it has three fire boosters and one Item Box. When exiting the cave, there is a bottomless green void which must be avoided. Also, there is a ramp edge where the drivers must perform a trick if they wanted to stay on the track. When drifting on the icy curves, head to finish.

Hence the name, this course is owned by Rosalina. At the beginning, there is a section resembling a half-pipe. One of the sides temporarily opens into the abyss, however. It leads to a lake and an iceburg that floats on its surface. If the iceburg is close enough, a kart can land on it. Otherwise, they use the propeller to move along the lake bottom. The iceburg contains several holes in it, potentially causing karts to fall into the water, and with speedy karts possibly going to crash into the edge. The lake below contains several swimming Penguins. The lake and the iceburg eventually lead into a cave containing icy stalagmites. There is an opening to the side of the tunnel that leads to an alternate path containing several Boost Pads next to a deep hole. The two paths reconnect before a ramp with a Boost Pad on it above a hole. Past the hole is the exit to the cave and beyond a bend is the finish line.
