- Megumi Shimizu is one of the villains in the manga and anime, Shiki.
- Due to Megumi's contempt towards the Sotoba village and it's residents, she displays a mean and uncaring attitude to the locals insulting them such as calling them backwards hicks, and is especially mean towards her childhood friend Kaori, whom she views as an annoyance and is quite self-centered. She looks down on them for their lack of self-conscious of how people outside the village would view them and gets frustrated with their view that anything outside of Sotoba is weird. However, she is kind and shy when around and talking to Natsuno who she has an intense crush on. She is also dreamy as she is shown to enjoy day dreaming and fantasizing. After she rose up as a Shiki, she becomes more malicious and cranky and her crush on Natsuno becomes more of an obsession as she targets Natsuno's best friend and and those who are close to him. She has a deep hatred for Tohru and kills him out of jealousy and Kaori's father as payback for her being close to Natsuno . She would not hesitate in voicing out her opinion or express her own thoughts, regardless of how it would make everyone feel, as shown when she learned of Natsuno being targetted and Nao trying to assure her that he would become one of them, she lashed out at the latter with the fact that none of her family rose up, causing Nao to break down.
