Joe Garagiola (also known as Joseph Henry Garagiola Sr.) (12 February 1926 – 23 March 2016) was a former baseball player and game show host. He played for four baseball teams in an eight-year Major League Baseball career from 1946–1954. He then began several broadcasting ventures, including being a panelist on Today for many years, but most notably as a broadcaster for Major League Baseball on NBC from 1961–1988.
