She largely retired after their marriage, but did have a featured role in one of the most acclaimed motion pictures of the 1950s, the courtroom drama Anatomy of a Murder. She also played the part of "Mama Bear" alongside her husband and children in Goldilocks and starred with Jack Lemmon in Operation Mad Ball in 1957. In the mid-1970s, she hosted The Kathryn Crosby Show, a 30-minute local talk-show on KPIX-TV in San Francisco. Husband Bing appeared as a guest occasionally. Since Bing Crosby's death in 1977, she has taken on a few smaller roles and the lead in the short-lived 1996 Broadway musical State Fair. In 1985, she had the Crosby name removed from the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am, formerly called the Crosby Clambake and now called the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The move was not well received by local residents nor the golf community at large. Which is understandable since Mr Cosby once said, "If I were asked what single thing has given me the most gratification in my long and sometimes pedestrian career, I think I would have to say it is this tournament."

Sullivan was the former tutor to Bing and Kathryn's three children who were home schooled for a time in the late 1960s and early 1970s, particularly during numerous trips to Baja.
