The inaugural tournament took place on the May 25 to May 30 in Kuwait City, Kuwait and was organised by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association. The United Arab Emirates finished first, winning all three games in the round robin competition. The United Arab Emirates have shown interest in hosting the 2011 competition. The event was supervised by the International Ice Hockey Federation who also provided referees.
