Tasked by Zola to discover what's scared the big buffalo in Swinging Safari mini game, here you must navigate through a burning forest. At first, its seems the fire has frightened the buffalo, but further investigation reveals the crocodiles are responsible. The end of the level introduces the meerkats, who are attacking King Croc because they accuse him of eating Stripy Tail( Mother Meerkats son). The level forces you to use many of the skills learned in The Gardens, and a few new ones as well. Acing this level requires a lot of skill at swinging and perhaps luck, but success will yield the long mustache.

  • The Burning Forest is a defiled forest in the northeastern corner of the Fissure of Woe. The Forest is a dark place with crooked burned down trees and strange spores that spew lava. There is a great fire in the center of the forest. The forest seems to be under the control of Menzies and is used by his Shadow Army to harvest resources for their neverending war against the Eternal army of Balthazar. Unlike the Forest of the Wailing Lord which is harvested by the Eternals, this forest is completely dark with no "green" vegetation in sight.

The forest is swarming with patrols of Mahgo Hydras, Smoke Walkers and Ancient Skales. Usually a patrol will be a mix of these creatures which move at different speeds, so be careful when attacking a straggling Skale as that may bring forth Hydras to nuke your party. The Forest only has one exit to the southwest, that exit however has a fork and can lead straight south to the area around the Tower of Strength or west to the Great Battle Field.
