  • Before editing there are some rules to keep in mind. Please be sure to keep up with our guidelines so that every user can edit and have fun on the wiki. There may be consequences if there are any failures to comply with the rules. It does not matter if you're registered or unregistered, you still have to follow the rules. Check with wikia's terms of use And read their Guidelines Community Guidelines
  • The main page (frontpage) has a new design, which is locked, in order to preserve the layout (it can be edited by registered users).
  • Hello and welcome to the Echo Bazaar Wiki, delicious friend! We are touched that you would want to share your knowledge with your fellow Londoners! For page creation, please remember three basic rules: 1. You may not post any reward information on . If you see any pages that violate this rule, mark it for deletion via . * You may still make item descriptions of items, as a place holder. Just don't mention how to get them unless it's mentioned in the description. * As a rule of thumb, you can only contribute content that Fallen London gives for free (i.e. if a free user can't see it, it's probably not allowed here). * (This includes storylets that only cost 1 Fate; the cost is mainly a hint from FBG that they want these actions to remain hidden) 2. You can only quote up to 2
  • No last names of cast members (even Josh's, which just about everyone knows) or other non-public information about the cast. If you're not sure about something, do not include it. Things that are semi-personal posted to Twitter or other sites may need to be taken on a case-by-case basis, such as links to certain Flickr or LiveJournal accounts which may contain compromising information regarding the cast or the company they keep. If you have come across a personal fact about a cast member or cast members that is not relevant to the HijiNKS Ensue creative property, there is no reason to include it and you should not do so.
  • Please take a moment to read these guidelines. Adhering to formatting standards keeps the wiki neat and tidy and easier for visitors to follow. If in doubt, take a look at the edited source of an existing page to get an idea of how to structure an article.
  • This page contains several rules for editing the pages of this wiki. Please follow them or you edits might be reverted. 1. * Almost all pages in this wiki use templates to ensure a consistent layout, so stick to them. If unsure on the usage of the templates click on the links on the bottom of the edit page, all templates used in the current page are listed there. You will find a documentation on the template page. 2. * Use spoilers where appropriate, other people might not want to know what happens later in the game. 3. * Battle strategies heavily depend on you party setup, strength and the arts your party members know. Therefore don't add them to the articles. Feel free to use the talk pages when you want to share your strategy. 4. * Monster Hit Points vary depending on
  • Keep the number of duplicate links on a page down. Small articles only need one link to any given page, large articles may be better for one link in each major section. This doesn't apply to sections that are lists - everything in a list that can be linked, should be. It also doesn't apply to references. Pages of any size should probably end with a References section. Multiple references to the same story are fine. Story names should be in italics. Make sure to spell check the page. Use preview before saving the page, you'd be amazed how many formatting errors you'll track down that way.

If you would like to use a picture not currently published on HijiNKS Ensue taken by or portraying a cast member of either the podcast or the comic, get the author's permission and the permission of at least one subject, then list the author along with the photo and DO NOT link back to any source web pages unless specifically requested by the author to do so. If you would like to post a full HE comic to the wiki this is fine if the comic is being referenced directly or otherwise being used to demonstrate something, but please do so sparingly. While there are no hosting fees, the wiki should not become a Mirror. Do not post images or other media from the vault to the wiki, (summaries of postshows are fine, but please no transcripts) Double-check all edits for factual and typographical errors.

Therefore don't add them to the articles. Feel free to use the talk pages when you want to share your strategy. 4. * Monster Hit Points vary depending on you current BR. Do not directly change the HPs of a monster, instead add your findings (together with your system and BR) to its talk page. 5. * Most accessories are requested by all leaders so it's not very useful to list them all on the accessory pages. Only add the accessory to the leader pages. The only exception are unique items like Remnants because only a limited number of leaders wants them. 6. * Mr. Diggs finding nothing is a natural occurrence for any harvesting point, and is part of the mechanics. Thus, listing it as a special effect is useless, please refrain from doing so. For the select few harvesting points that have a higher than normal chance to find nothing this data will be included on the location page. 7. * Only confirmed data belongs to the articles, anything speculative or unconfirmed should go onto the talk pages for further discussion. If you need help on any editing, put a note on the talk page ("Discussion" in the top right) of the page you have problems with, usually one of the "regulars" will follow up and help you.

You can only quote up to 250 characters of narrative content at a time. This applies to all in-game content (that isn't covered by rule 1). When you use templates this is worked out for you: the page will warn you when a description field is too long. Either cut it shorter or write a summary in the matching summary field. * If you shorten or remove description on articles that violate this rule, please make sure to add the when you're done. Follow the link for explanations on how to add categories to articles. * Please don't just take the first 250 characters and cut the rest. Pick out interesting or crucial sentences. You can always hit 'Preview' to get an up-to-date character count. * Please add […] or (…) to denote trimmed passages (aka, when you cut a sentence, put […] in its place. Example: A decidedly incautious approach). Otherwise the readers might not know that the article was trimmed, and that would be unfair to FL writers. 3. You may not post images which link directly back to Fallen London. Upload them to the wiki first. If you are new to the wikia style of editing, reading the Screenshot Tutorial for Editing and playing around in the Sandbox might help. :) If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

If in doubt, take a look at the edited source of an existing page to get an idea of how to structure an article. * Avoid using level 1 headings so as to avoid confusing the first content heading with the page title. Group blocks of meaningful content with headlines using the format: == Main Heading == === Sub Heading 1 === === Sub Heading 2 === * Please check the main page for an appropriate category or subcategory before creating a new article. Common areas of interest are grouped there by category. For example, the various player and NPC factions are all described on the Factions page and so new faction information should go there. * Avoid creating small pages that link through to main pages. Where possible, make use of piped internal links and redirects. You can find out more information here.
It's suggested that the first occurrence of the name of the page subject in the text (for instance, the name and/or codename of the character the page is about) be highlighted in bold. For pages about a story, that should be both bold and italic. Make sure to spell check the page. Use preview before saving the page, you'd be amazed how many formatting errors you'll track down that way. If it is a major change, let other people know what you did in the summary section or on the discussion page. Contentious changes should be discussed on the forum before making them. Keep to information that can be verified from published stories, original information seeded into the original wiki from the 2005 version of the Canon Bible, or Word of God on the forums. Articles with seeded information should be identified with the "2005 bible" category tag; WOG should be identified as such, preferably with a pointer to the forum thread or message. A partial backup of the original wiki, as text files, was made; this is all of the old wiki which still exists, and is useful when striving to identify original seed information; This thread tells how to obtain a copy. Reference main articles using the standard Wikipedia code.
