Graduating as a lieutenant, he advanced through the ranks of the Army, and during the Galactic Civil War, was acknowledged by Army Command as the Galactic Empire's best defensive tactician. Throughout the conflict, Seerdon oversaw the defenses of many Imperial facilities, though also took part in several offensive operations, such as the Battle of Hoth.
