The Skan'dar are a race of near-humans that operate under a clan-like structure, however, they are all pirates. The Skan'dar only use one ship class, the Raider-class Heavy Galleon, which is the mainstay of all of their fleets and the perfect raiding vessel. The Skan'dar traditionally follow the laws of being mercenaries and privateers, however clans are usually pitted against each other in battle due to a certain sense of equal strength in power between certain clans.

Their society is continually scavenging for materials, energy, and slaves to power their factories and shipyards. They have been known to use Dark Matter as a power source, which is a surprise, due to how volatile it can be.
