  • Gerald Edwin James (born October 22, 1934) is a former professional Canadian football running back and professional ice hockey player. He played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). His is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, like his father, Eddie James, who also played for the Blue Bombers.

After retiring a second time James went into coaching in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, coaching the Yorkton Terriers, Melville Millionaires, and Estevan Bruins. In 1988-89 he was the coach of the Moose Jaw Warriors.
