In 2371, the Kraxon was one of a fleet of ships that were ordered to hunt down the USS Defiant, that had been stolen by Thomas Riker and the Maquis and was running amok in Cardassian space. However, Gul Skrain Dukat later ordered the Kraxon to defend the Defiant when it was approached by a force of Keldon-class warships from the Orias system, which were later discovered to be Obsidian Order vessels. After working a deal with Commander Benjamin Sisko, Dukat agreed to let the Defiant go in return for sensor logs and Tom Riker. The Kraxon later took Riker back to Cardassia Prime to face a trial for his actions. (DS9 episode: "Defiant"; WizKids module: Tactics)
