The 1960 Copper Cup 100 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series (now Camping World West Series) combination event held at Arizona State Fairgrounds on April 3, 1960. Due to the time and location of the event, few of the sport's biggest stars travelled west. John Rostek didn't mind. In just his second career start, Rostek led 58 of the 100 laps and held off Mel Larson for the victory. Eventual GN season champ Rex White was one of the drivers who did not make the race, but eventual PCLMS champ Marvin Porter was the 18th place finisher after leading 11 laps. Stats
