As more Equalist airships approached, she fled the island along with Tenzin's family and another female Air Acolyte, guiding her own flying bison. In 174 AG, she was among the last group of citizens in Republic City to be evacuated during the invasion of the United Republic of Nations. As they became stranded at Central City Station when the train lines were cut by the military of the Earth Empire, she and the other evacuees sat and waited, bored as Pema attempted to entertain them with old airbender songs. When Prince Wu arrived with two badgermoles, she followed the creatures as they tunneled a way for the evacuees to escape underneath the city.
