  • __TOC__
  • The Wicked Witch of the West is the main antagonist in The Wizard of Oz, the first novel of the famous Oz series, and its classic 1939 film adaptation. She is Dorothy's arch-nemesis. Although, the Wicked Witch only appears in the first book, and that the Nome King is the primary antagonist of the series, she was so memorable (mostly thanks to the film) that most adaptations and nearly all re-telling of the story are centered about her. In the film, she was portrayed by the late Margaret Hamilton, who also played her Kansas counterpart, Miss Almira Gulch.
  • The Wicked Witch of the West is the famous wicked witch of L. Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz stories. She was the previous owner of the Golden Cap used to summon flying monkeys that would grant three wishes. When Sabrina is given the Golden Cap by Mirror in The Unusual Suspects, it becomes evident that the witch is a huge sports fan, due to the modifications she made to the cap. In Once Upon a Crime, the Wizard of Oz made a giant robot that resembled her.
  • The Wicked Witch of the West (or Witch of the West, or Wicked Witch for short) is a fictional character invented by L. Frank Baum, author and creator of the Oz Legacy. Her first and only appearance is in Baum's first Oz book titled The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900. She is introduced in the twelfth chapter of the novel titled, The search of the Wicked Witch, where she serves strictly as the most significant antagonist in the plot of the story. In the novel, Baum never named his Wicked Witch and she is only known by her title of position.
  • Long ago, the Wicked Witch conquered the Winkie Country with the help of the Winged Monkeys. She was a tyrannical ruler and made the Winkies her slaves. Once the Great Oz tried to recapture the Winkie Country, but with the help of the Winged Monkeys, she was able to fight him off. The Wicked Witch of the West was not related to the Wicked Witch of the East, but leagued together with her, the Wicked Witch of the South and Mombi to conquer the Land of Oz and divide it among themselves.
