| - Mayweather is one of the few officers of Enterprise who has extensive experience of space. As a "Boomer", he spent considerable time travelling the stars in his youth and has visited several systems. As helmsman of Enterprise, he is now crossing space nearly one hundred times faster than before. He was not given many lines in Star Trek: Enterprise and was one of the most underused characters ever.

Captain Jonathan Archer valued Travis's navigational expertise, Tactical Officer Malcolm Reed citied the young officer for his bravery on multiple occassions, and fellow ensign Hoshi Sato officially reported him as "one fine piece of man-candy".
