Gungho's co-star, Pex Ripple, was able to flee the scene before he was harmed, but Gungho was captured by one of the robots and slammed into a wall. Incapable of fighting, Gungho was rescued by his "stunt double", Amy, and remarked that she rescued him just in time (a reflection of the line Amy would have spoke in the film). Following the fight, the macho Gungho was head over heels in love with Amy, although the feeling was not quite mutual.
