- Turoths, like kurasks, must be killed with either a leaf-bladed spear, a leaf-bladed sword, the Slayer Dart spell (which requires a Magic level of 50 plus either a slayer's staff, a staff of light or dual wielding abyssal wand and abyssal orb), or broad arrows/broad-tipped bolts, or else the player's attacks are ineffective. Off-hand weapons will not deal any damage, except for the off-hand leaf-bladed sword.
- Een Leaf-bladed sword is een alternatief voor de Leaf-bladed spear dat door de Slayer masters wordt verkocht. Het zwaard is sneller dan de speer, en is een-handig, zodat je tegelijk ook een schild of defender kan gebruiken. Voor speer en zwaard is het aan te raden om de Stab style te gebruiken omdat deze wapens hiervoor een hogere bonus geven dan met slash of crush. De lage-level Turoths hebben een maximum hit van 90 damage, terwijl de hogere-levels tot wel 100 raken. Ze raken niet vaak, maar als ze raken dan vaak wel hoog.

Turoths are impervious to any other manner of onslaught, thereby establishing hidden skill requirements to any wishing to attack them (particularly for ironmen).
