The ticker is a locust ticking time bomb. The ticker gets it's name from the ticking noise it makes as it runs. They are small and fast so you will need to aim to kill them. One shot blows them to bits but miss and you just might become a bunch of body parts. Fighting tickers is also a challenge because they come in groups.

- Tickers have 3 options: Tick, Read, and Advanced. When you select to tick the ticker, the ticker will add one tick to the total ticks in the ticker. When a player selects read, it will say: The ticker is currently at (number of ticks). The advanced option opens up a menu that has the options of: "Read the ticker result to my friends chat channel members", which will announce the amount of ticks in the ticker to the friends chat that you are currently in, and "Reset ticker", which when selected, will reset the amount of ticks stored in the ticker to zero. The ticker only has the Advanced option if it is storing a number.
- Please note, when the ticker is activated, the ticker can no longer be stored in your bank until it is reset. Tickers cannot be sold on the Grand Exchange, but can be freely traded with other players, or sold at a general store.

They were named after the ticking sound they make while scurrying across the battlefield. They are small creatures that somewhat resemble a cross between a rodent and a reptile. Tickers are always seen in large numbers, and are used mainly as mines against COG vehicles. However, the Locust use them against COG ground troops as well; an example of this being the Kantus, which summon them two at a time and use them as a last defense when under direct threat by COG units. They are quick moving and relatively difficult to detect despite the sounds they emit, making them dangerous and unpredictable adversaries, especially in large groups. - Ticker is an enemy found in Banjo-Kazooie whom mainly reside at Mumbo's Mountain inside of Ticker's Tower, but one can still be found outside of the entrance to Gruntilda's Lair and three are hidden in a Christmas tree in Freezeezy Peak. This place is really large so it is viewable from any world in Banjo-Kazooie.

This place is really large so it is viewable from any world in Banjo-Kazooie. Their home can be found on a steep slope. This slope is very steep so not even the Talon Trot move can work. Even if Banjo reaches the place without transforming, the termites tell Banjo that he cannot enter so he must go to Mumbo's Skull and ask Mumbo Jumbo if he can transform into a termite so he can enter and go up the steel slope. However, the termites recognize Banjo's pants and backpack and, therefore, still attack him.
