Keiko O'Brien kept Idran hybrids aboard Deep Space 9 in 2373. In that year, Julian Bashir inadvertently added too much water, killing them. Miles O'Brien replaced them with Bajoran spiny basil. (DS9: "The Assignment") Idran hybrids seem to be named after the Idran system, a star system (without Class M planets) in the Gamma Quadrant According to the script, Idran was pronounced as "IH-drahn".
