The National Basketball Association Summer League (also shortened to the NBA Summer League to differentiate it from the other pro summer leagues) is a pro basketball league run by the NBA in the United States just following the NBA Draft. Teams consist of players who have been in the league for three years or fewer as well as newly drafted talent. It gives rookies a chance to practice against other players that are new to the NBA. Starting in 2013, The NBA added a championship format to the Summer League.
