abstract
  • The Water Chameleon is a creature summoned by Gargamel through the Great Book Of Spells in the episode "A Hovel Is Not A Home." It is made of clear water and thus blends in with any body of water that it is cast into. In the episode, Gargamel unleashed the Water Chameleon into the River Smurf at a time when the Smurfs were enjoying a day of swimming, with the intent of capturing Smurfs. Papa Smurf realized what kind of creature was attacking his little Smurfs by the riverside and thus used a burning stick to ward off the Water Chameleon, sending it back toward Gargamel to harass him until he gave up and headed back home without any Smurfs.
