Shadow makes an appearance in Super Smash Flash as an unlockable character. He is unlocked only after Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles have cleared Adventure mode. Shadow is ranked 28th on the tier list. He has decent KO power in his up attack and down air. However, all of his attacks have poor to mediocre range, as well as high startup/endlag and generally poor finishing ability. Shadow also lacks a reliable momentum cancelling move. Finally, Shadow lacks a projectile, which means he has to get up close which will end badly against most top tier characters. Shadow's meager strengths and blatant flaws result in poor matchups across the board, resulting in his low ranking.
