When used by the mortal Necromancer Heinrich Kemmler, the Cloak of Mist and Shadows allows him to cast the Necromantic Dark Mist spell at will. He can move through solid objects and difficult terrain without any issues, but cannot move through other creatures. He cannot attack physically, but can cast spells, and can only be harmed by magical weapons and spells. This spell continues as long as Kemmler decides to keep it, or until it is dispelled by someone else.[1a]
