Laura Burke was a female Human member of Starfleet Intelligence in the early 24th century. As of 2336, she was stationed on Farius Prime, assigned to investigate organized crime on Farius Prime. That year, she reported the unexpected appearance of Commander Samir al-Halak on Farius to her superior, Marta Batanides. Not long after, Burke was killed by Talma Pren, an operative of the Asfar Qatala, who then vaporized Burke's body, destroyed her shuttle, and used her identity to infiltrate the USS Enterprise.
