Count Dooku trained several Acolytes during the Clone Wars, but until late 21 BBY, only truly cared for Asajj Ventress. His Master, however, did not trust her, suspecting Dooku planned to train her to overthrow him. Though it was his true intention, Dooku denied the claim, but Sidious, during the Battle of Sullust, ordered her execution. After the attempt narrowly failed, however, Ventress returned to her homeworld of Dathomir to Mother Talzin, who, in part of Ventress's revenge, prepared Savage Opress as Dooku's primary apprentice.
