The Bar Girl worked behind the bar at Brambles Nightclub. In 1989, she served a tipsy Mike Baldwin a double Scotch, but declined his offer of one for herself, choosing to stick with lager as she'd left her sense of adventure at home with her husband. Mike had gone to the club to drown his sorrows after he'd been nearly cleaned out by Robert Prescott. The exchange was witnessed by Alma Sedgewick, who was there on a Christmas night out with the Jim's Cafe team. Alma was worried for Mike and confiscated the keys to his Jaguar to stop him from driving home.
