Airspeeders were repulsorlift vehicles. They were distinguished from landspeeders by a higher operating altitude and normally higher top speed. Sometimes, they were also equipped with boosters. They were not designed for orbital flight, but could attain high altitudes. Airspeeders were used for transportation, recreation and combat. Coruscant's skies were clogged with airspeeders, which made their way about the planet-wide city via invisible expressways.
