Katherine Anne "Kate" Austen (born 1978) was a passenger aboard Oceanic Flight 815 after being extradited to the United States when she was captured after being on the run for at least 3 years. Kate had lived abroad, evading the police at any cost, even using random strangers to keep her identity a secret. However, she was finally apprehended when she tried to leave the farm of a man she was working for near Melbourne, Australia.
