archaic couture. (also known by fans as ac*) is an American experimental rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2007 by former schoolmates Mara Ahtisaari and Kristina Reljić. Ahtisaari and Reljić were both immigrants to the country, from Finland and Serbia respectively. Through high school, the two became good friends, and attended all sorts of concerts, developing quite a taste for music. Ahtisaari eventually would begin singing, and Reljić picked up her first guitar. In 2004, as grade 11 students, the girls linked up with classmates Benjamin Morris and Chris Sekine, the two young men who would eventually become the drummer and the bassist for their new band.
