Fort Sunfire was one of two major Galactic Empire Imperial military installations on Tatooine during the Galactic Civil War—the other being Fort Ironhand, near Anchorhead. This section of the article assumes that the player chose to align with the Rebel Alliance. Alternate stories are noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. Note: The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the base was destroyed by a Rebel agent as part of operations on Tatooine. The destruction of Fort Sunfire started a contained conflict between Captain Kosh and the local Rebels. Assumption ends here.
