A thief who is known for a relative lack of subtlety, using gangs and guns quite happily. He is accomplished, but undistinguished, and it is probable that the only reason for his colorful codename and the red mask he wears is because he often operates in Gotham City. Along with Catwoman, he was part of a group of thieves recruited by Troy Cavanaugh to steal millions of dollars for a hefty reward, though they were betrayed by Giz, who was working for the Penguin. He later encountered Robin on a job, and had a disastrous encounter with Batgirl when he was trying to find Catwoman for payback on a diamond heist she conned him on - his gang were quickly defeated and he ended up with a broken leg.
