The Society for Distressed Witches is presumably a charitable organisation which provides assistance to witches who are impoverished, emotionally troubled, or otherwise down on their luck. It was established by Dorcas Wellbeloved. From this, she earned her spot on a Famous Wizard Card found in the famous Chocolate Frogs.
