Inspector Gadget is the main character of the animated television series of the same name, and as such, the protagonist of the two live-action Disney film adaptations. He is a cyborg who frequently bumbles during his cases and gets into danger, but he always gets out of trouble through either his trusty gadgets, the unseen assistance of his niece, Penny, or pure luck.
