Donald Charles "D.C." Richter (d. April 1999) was the chief of security for Sam Kincaid. He attempted to join the Los Angeles Police Department in 1981, but washed out after only a few months when it was discovered that he was blind in one eye, inhibiting his shooting ability. Three years later, he acquired his private investigator's license, and went to work for the Kincaids. He was a tall gaunt man with short, graying hair and one small gold earring.
