The Scatter was a shallow valley on Iego where Angels crashed all starships. It was filled with the wreckage of spacecrafts, and even some workable parts. However, the castaways living on the planet's surface, due to their tribal conflicts, were unable to come together to fix a ship and escape. Most shipwrecked spacers chose to live near the Scatter. Those castaways not belonging to any tribe, often insane and dangerous, lived closest to the junkyard.
