The Battle of Sekigahara was the final battle of the Sekigahara civil war and, unofficially, a proxy battle between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic, on the Inner Rim Territories planet of Sekigahara in 20 BBY. The battle was part of the civil war on the planet, which was a several hundred year long conflict between the many warrior clans of Sekigahara. The major ones created two unified sides, the Hyogo Shogunate and the Isuzu Shogunate. The planet was of strategic importance, and had much resources, prompting the CIS and Republic to take sides in the war.
