Red turnips are a type of turnip only in Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. They are bought from Joan for a sum of 1,000 Bells once per week every Sunday. However, some weeks Joan will not have red turnips, and the player will be unable to buy them. Unlike other things in the ground, the player can't move a red turnip the traditional way. Instead, to remove the red turnip, they have to dig it out with a shovel. A full-size red turnip sells for a maximum of 16,000 Bells, making a profit of 15,000.
