Crunk is an alternate Low Speech, very similar to Spanish. The reader is first introduced to this speech in Wizard and Glass. There is no proper word for the the dialect of the Mejis vaqueros, but "crunk" served well enough among the Barony's higher-born citizens. It is unknown whether the term "crunk" is derogatory, however given the origin of the term (among the high-born) and its circumstance; it is very reasonable to believe that calling the dialect "crunk" is meant with negative connotations, as being simply "non-sense" to those who don't speak/understand the language.
