He was paired with Gielle to search for the magic in the teleson Tadrith and Silverblade were carrying when they disappeared. When Snowstar had his idea to dowse for the absence of magic instead, it was Redoak who marked out the pendulum's movements on a map of the area. He then varnished over his charcoal markings, and gave the map to Skandranon.
