The Three-Eyed Crow appears to Bran Stark in dreams following his fall and injury, prompting his quest beyond the Wall and guiding him to the cave in which his real human body resides.. It is known by the children of the forest as the last greenseer. In the television adaptation Game of Thrones it is known as the three-eyed raven. In the book A Dance with Dragons it is revealed that the Three-Eyed Crow is actually a man called Brynden Rivers. Lord Brynden Rivers, also called Lord Bloodraven, was a legitimized Great Bastard of Aegon IV Targaryen and Melissa Blackwood, his sixth mistress. His personal arms were a white dragon with red eyes breathing red flame on a black field.
